Your 2023 Youth Entrepreneur of the Year |

Our Youth Entrepreneur of the Year is Karma Ford, founder of K-boss artistry. Karma’s journey started at the age of 3 when she began drawing and quickly blossomed to a passion by age 9. However it wasn’t until the mature age of 10 that Karma announced to her mother her dream of becoming a professional artist and owning her own art business.
With her mother’s help, they created K_boss Artistry, where Karma can sell her original drawings, coloring books, Perler bead earrings, and even branching out to create one-of-a-kind pieces for those who have lost a loved one. Karma creates artwork as it’s her way of expressing herself through different variants of art and wants others to see that like herself, they can use art to express themselves freely without any worries of being judged or criticized by the rest of the world on how the person feels.
We love seeing our Youth getting engaged in Entrepreneurship!

Fast Break for Small Business gives back
Together with the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League, we're supporting small businesses with $6 million in grants and services. When applications reopen later this year, we'll be accepting them from small business owners across the country for $10,000 grants and up to $500 worth of LegalZoom products and services.

The Alabama Department of Corrections is seeking small/minority businesses of all worktypes/Naics codes to bid for upcoming projects. They are currently looking for assistance with the Elmore County Facility but over the next 2 -3 years others – including the Limestone County Correctional Facility in Harvest- that will be new built and upgraded.

In 2022, in the United States, the percentage of small businesses owned by women was 42% and today, on average, 1,821 new businesses are started by women, PER DAY!
Over the past 20 years, women-owned businesses have become more plentiful, profitable, and beneficial to the economy as a whole. Let's keep it growing!
