The Lepage Center is devoting the month of March to commemorating W omen's History Month , in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment. The commemorations will culminate in an event on March 25th titled:

Marking an anniversary by expanding the conversation

The 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage offers an opportunity to shine light on historical scholarship that challenges familiar myths and draws our attention to people and stories that these celebrations often overlook. Join us for a discussion that revises how we think about this anniversary and what histories it comprises.

Throughout the month of March, the Lepage Center will promote additional events related to women's history, hosted by our partners and neighboring institutions. These include:
"Lunch @ Lepage" to focus on women's history
This month's " Lunch @ Lepage" will focus on women's history. A new topic related to women's history will be selected each Monday and announced via campus email alerts. The dates for lunch are:

  • Wednesday, March 11 @ 12 p.m. in the Lepage Center (SAC 410)

  • Wednesday, March 18 @ 12 p.m. in the Lepage Center (SAC 410)

  • Wednesday, March 25 @ 12 p.m. in the Lepage Center (SAC 410)

A signature program of the Lepage Center, " Lunch @ Lepage"  allows students, staff and faculty a weekly opportunity to examine current events through the prism of history.

All Villanova students, staff and faculty are welcome. No RSVP is required.
