Do you have any nicknames?
Pammy, only a few people get to call me that.
If you could give a younger person career advice, what would it be?
Your word is your bond, people can’t trust you if you don’t keep your word.
If we went to happy hour, what would you order?
A glass of cabernet, or occasionally a margarita.
What is a valuable lesson you learned in your career?
Do not only take someone’s opinion on a subject, do your own homework and research, the more questions you ask, the more you learn and gain knowledge. There is a time to speak and a time to listen, you learn more from listening and watching.
If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?
Walking on a beach, listening to the waves and the seagulls. Peace.
What do you think is the key to professional success?
Being honest and straightforward. I find people will respond and know you can be trusted.
What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
Watching a movie and knitting for myself or playing music and singing.
What causes are you passionate about?
Anything I am involved with, but particularly children’s music, art, and my city.
What would be your personal motto?
Stand for what is right, even if you are standing alone.
Who is someone you admire, and why?
I have many people, but my grandmother. She taught me to be a strong, independent woman. The values I live by were instilled by her. She taught me if you want something you have to work hard for it. I guess that is why I put so much energy into anything I do.
