The Women’s Ministry Team will host a knitting workshop for beginners (as well as experienced knitters).
This group will start with the basic stitches and go at your individual pace.
We will meet Wednesday, Jan 8
th
in room C-102 from 4-7 pm
.
Cannot be there at 4 or stay till 7—no worries. This is a come and go workshop. Instructors will be available to help you and teach you during this time.
Come join us on
Wednesday January 8
th
and learn more. Knitting needles will be provided to those who participate in the workshop.
This is a great workshop to invite a friend and fellowship.
If you would like dinner ($5) on Wednesday night remember to get your dinner reservation in to the church office my Monday morning.
Our first project will be to knit scarfs for the homeless. We will be taking these scarfs to downtown Florence the week of Valentines.
We will tie them around the trees and lamp posts at Wilson Park.
Next we will be making wash cloths for mission trips and move to knitting prayer shawls for homebound, individuals in long term care or those going through cancer treatment.
We will study about One Word per year that God picks for you and then you pray for Him to reveal the one word He wants to grow you as a Christian.
For example: your word might be communication, mercy, peace or service.
Questions please contact Mary Bowling, Cyndi Stephens or Linda Lamb.
