September Update

Dear friends,

My e-mails won't always be so close together, but I want to make sure a few upcoming ministry opportunities are on your radar (like the hike this Saturday) and update our plans for our mom's morning out. See below. Further, I value your input. Please fill out this brief survey as I consider next steps.

Warmly,

David

CTK Mom's Bible Study (Previously Mom's Morning Out).

  • Details: Every Wednesday beginning September 16. 9:30-11:00 at Christ the King
  • Description: Join us on Wednesday mornings for a time of fellowship, encouragement and community. Moving forward we'll rename this: This fall, we will study the book of James, exploring practical wisdom walking with God in the midst of everyday motherhood. Study books will be available for purchase. Currently, infants and toddlers play while moms supervise, but we would love to have a few volunteers to provide child-care and a little respite!
  • Contact: For more information or to volunteer, contact: Women.min@ctkalexandria.org

Thursday Morning Bible Study

  • Details: Thursdays, beginning September 24. 10:00-11:30. This study is hosted at a parishioner's home. Please contact women.min@ctkalexandria.org for address.
  • Topic: Saints and Scoundrels by Nancy Guthrie. The story of Jesus in the Gospels includes all kinds of interesting people—some who claimed to be saints but proved to be scoundrels, as well as scoundrels who were transformed into saints. Saints and Scoundrels in the Story of Jesus provides a fresh look into the grace of Jesus towards the worst of sinners.
  • Description: Study will start with fellowship, followed by discussion, concluding with prayer. The study guide will be available on Thursday, Sept 24 as an additional opportunity to go deeper in Scripture during the week.
