As the Seasons Change

Welcome to October, my favorite month. As I sit down to write this month’s message and think about what lies ahead one GOLDEN milestone in my life is at the forefront, which is by the end of the month I will have reached my 5th decade. Part of me questions where did the time go? But I like to think I learn from the past, strive for the future and live in the present. On such an occasion I hope that you don’t mind me using this platform to share what I’ve learned and where I go from here.

My first decade taught me creativity and independence. Join us for the October Women's Network Luncheon as we welcome Becky James-Hatter,  President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri , as our speaker. In her career, Becky has been an advocate for education, youth and mentoring. ( Click here  to view her full bio.) Becky will be speaking about assertiveness and how to be assertive without being pushy.

Advance registration is appreciated.  Online pre-registration is $15 for members and $18 for guests until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017   After this pre-registration deadline, attendees can pay at the door.   Door registration p rices will be $18 for members and $21 for guests. Changing the Odds Annual Business Clothing Drive
THANK YOU to everyone who donated items to the Changing the Odds Business Clothing Drive!

Women's Network was able to make a very sizable clothing donation to Upscale Resale after the September luncheon. All of the items donated will be used for the Changing the Odds Fall Seminar "shopping experience" on October 28th.

Ron Marley Scholarship

Each year Women’s Network awards a scholarship to the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Columbia program in the name of Ron Marley. 

Leadership Columbia is one of the best ways for Chamber members to learn the ins and outs of local leadership and the unique challenges of our community. The program is limited to 30 participants who must demonstrate their desire through a vigorous application process.

Applications DUE by 5 p.m. on October 27, 2017!
Good Business Breakfast
