Our Mission

The Women’s Red Apple Foundation of Palm Beach County supports the education of women through training, development, research, and scholarship programs that provide for their current and future economic success.

Dear Friends of the Foundation:

Let me start by thanking you for showing up for us this past weekend. Your support meant so much. On Friday, we had our Sip and Shop at Lilly Pulitzer in Delray Beach. Lilly Pulitzer’s granddaughter, Lilly Leas Ferreira, was on hand to sign her book. And our supporters were there to shop till they dropped!

On Saturday, we had our shred event, which is always a crowd pleaser. I enjoy the shred events because there are always new faces looking to clear the paper clutter. For these new friends, it’s icing on the cake when they learn that they are supporting the women of Palm Beach County and their education.

I’m often asked how you can help us to support the women of our community. There are so many ways to do so besides the obvious monetary donation!

Please continue coming to our events and bring your friends. It’s a great opportunity to meet some of our scholarship recipients and learn more about our program and about the young women. Every time you come to an event you are funding our programs in some way and showing your support to our scholarship recipients, who truly appreciate it.

Join a committee. We always need assistance with our events and in other areas. It’s a great way to meet our board, learn more about the programs, and perhaps dip your feet with us to see whether you’d be interested in joining our leadership team.

Donate items. Our students can always use laptops. We raise scholarship funds through our silent auctions and are always looking for donated items to excite the attendees. You might consider purchasing the item yourself, or seek donations from your employer or someone with whom you do business or who provides a personal service that you value.

Assist us in our new ventures. The scholarships help our students, but we can do more for them. We’re looking to provide additional support for them, whether it’s finding a mentor, teaching a class on financial literacy or nutrition for the busy student on a budget, or coaching them toward employment. Volunteer to assist us, or connect us with an organization that provides the services we are seeking.

Help spread the word. Like us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Share our posts. Forward our newsletter to your contacts. Talk us up to your contacts. The Foundation is a passion project for many of us. Some of our supporters discovered us by chance and continue to support us through the years.

And yes, money absolutely helps. You can give a donation, big or small, sponsor events, participate in a year round corporate sponsorship, or even sponsor one or more scholarships. You may not be able to make the donation yourself, but you may know an individual or a company who can.

Please contact us to learn more about any of these opportunities. And again, thank you for your continued support. I look forward to seeing you soon

Sincerely,

Margaret

Thank You for Supporting our Lilly Pulitzer "Sip & Shop"!

On Friday, September 22, Lilly Pulitzer Delray Beach hosted a "Sip & Shop" to support our scholarship program. We received 10% of all sales for the evening (and from pre-sales!). We had the added benefit of Lilly Leas Ferreira joining us to sign copies of her beautiful children's book, "Life and Lilly: A Palm Beach Adventure".

Thank you our friends at Lilly Pulitzer and to all who joined us to shop!

Thank You For Supporting our 2023 Fall Shred Event!

We remain eternally grateful to Monica Lewis and Total Shredding for their ongoing support of our organization. Total Shredding once again donated on-site shredding services for the Women's Red Apple Foundation on Saturday, September 23. All proceeds from this event go toward our Scholarship Program.

AN EASY WAY TO SUPPORT US AT NO COST TO YOU!

Do you have empty printer cartridges or toner cartridges that you just throw away? DON'T!!

We are part of the Staples Recycling Program where we receive credit for each cartridge that we turn in to them and, in turn, we use that credit to purchase our office supplies.

If you would like to donate your used cartridges to us, please contact us and we will make arrangements to get them.

Thank you!!
