As the holiday season continues, we’re reflecting on our rich history and our past leaders. This year, we lost previous Foundation President, Pat Brune, who was the heart and driver of our work for many years.

Pat was among many influential women who created the legacy of the Foundation. Serving as President from 2003 to 2005, Pat continued the progress of mentoring, empowering, connecting, and educating women in our community. In 2014, Pat used her knowledge to create a 501(c)3, the KCK Women’s Chamber Foundation, focused on raising funds to provide scholarships to non-traditional women students. Since 2014, more than 70 women have received scholarship funds in excess of $75,000. Now, as we grow into the Women’s Scholarship Foundation, we are asking for your support.

Join us in empowering women by giving the gift of education:

$1,000 = Legacy Leader

$500 = Scholar Supporter

$250 = Opportunity Champion

$50 = Empowering Advocate

Pat was kind, professional, trustworthy, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain the Women’s Chamber and Foundation records. She was a member of the Board of Directors, participated on the Scholarship Committee, and kept members informed. Her generosity in sharing her knowledge, her talent for finding solutions to challenges, and her unique ability to inspire others to consider new and unconventional ideas have made a lasting impact on the Foundation and our community.
