January Happenings
Science Sprouts: Wednesdays at 4:15 p.m. and Thursdays at 9:15 and 10 a.m . - Age 3 and under. Science Sprouts i s a weekly science enrichment program designed especially for toddlers and their families. Toddlers are natural scientists, and Science Sprouts is a time for them to explore, experiment, and build skills ranging from physical development to social emotional development. Science Sprouts activities are designed and facilitated by early childhood specialists and involve hands-on exploration, live music, body movement, and a commitment to accurate science! January Topic: Health and Nutrition Ticketed but free with admission.
Discovery Time: Wednesdays at 10 a.m. - Ages 3-6
Discovery Time utilizes a broad array of these learning languages - including music, art, stories, and creative movement - to connect children to science. Children ages 3 to 6 are developing increasingly complex theories about the world, rapidly gaining language, and learning to work with others. Discovery Time activities are designed by early childhood specialists specifically to nurture and challenge the rapid development of preschool-aged children in a fun and safe learning environment. January Topic: Health and Nutrition. Ticketed but free with admission.
Dive Deeper - Sundays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 5 p.m.
January Topic: New Year’s Resolutions: How can YOU help our oceans? Think Global: Act Local - Current successful marine conservation efforts are happening around the world. Learn what you can do to help here in Indiana. - All Dive Deeper sessions include a live feeding and a question and answer session.  Free with museum admission.
STEM Sundays - Sundays from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Free, drop-in, challenge-based experiences for the entire family. Projects are easy entry for all ages, meaning that specialized skills are not needed. Children as young as kindergarten can participate. STEM Sundays   are sponsored by Cook Medical and CFC Properties.

Coder Dojo: Thursday, January 17 from 4:45 - 5:45 p.m.
Learn to code from coding experts! At CoderDojo children ages 7 to 17 learn skills such as building a website, creating an app or a game, and exploring technology in an informal, creative, and social environment. The program is free, laptops are provided, and it is co-taught by local computer programmers/engineers and WonderLab educators. Free.
Martin Luther King Day: Monday, January 21 - Special Holiday Hours
Museum Open: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Special Activities: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Join WonderLab and IU Alpha Chi Sigma, IU’s professional chemistry fraternity, for fun, hands-on science experiments celebrating science and inclusion. Visitors will get to explore different topics in science and celebrate that we can all be scientists!
