Clean water for God's thirsty children
It's World Water Week: Let's All Give for Good
In Honduras, a newly-trained Water Woman shows off her bucket and Sawyer PointONE filter. Soon she will be providing clean water to her own and three other families.
Here in Uganda, and around the world, your generosity provides the buckets, filters, and training that pour purified water into these waiting cups.
Of course, at Water With Blessings
it's always Water Week.

But once a year, we welcome the increased attention from people and organizations around the world.

World Water Week provides the year’s most influential, innovative, and dynamic focus on transforming global water challenges. It is a collaborative learning experience, providing a unique forum and opportunity to facilitate the exchange of views, experiences, and practices between the scientific, business, policy, and civil society.

We hope and pray that God will open the hearts and minds of people around the world to the message of providing clean water to those in need.
And this focus occurs just when a special one day giving opportunity comes our way. Give For Good Louisville 2020, sponsored by the Community Foundation of Louisville, takes place on September 17.

And once again, anonymous donors and a Foundation have stepped forward to double your donation with a matching gift of up to $15,000. Please consider taking advantage of their generosity and the opportunity to add to the number of Water Women serving their families and communities around the world.

“It would be a shame to miss the opportunity to put two filters into the field rather than one because of the matching grant,” said Tammy Reid, a WWB Board Member. “We need to show that Louisville cares for a lot of charities, but especially for Water With Blessings.”
How to Give for Good, Even Outside of Louisville
Even though we'd love to see you (socially-distanced, of course), you don't have to drive all the way to Kentucky to take advantage of this great opportunity. Simply click the link just below, and you will find a link to Give for Good Louisville 2020 on the front page of the Water With Blessings website. Remember, it's just one day: September 17, starting at 12:01 am!

In addition to the matching gift we mentioned above, there will be other giving incentives offered during the day.

This may have been a difficult year for all of us, but let's make September 17 a day of hope, a ray of light in a time of darkness for so many. Thank you, and may God bless you for your generosity.
The #WHYIGIVE Donor Challenge
New this year is a pre-giving day challenge. Donors and community members may submit their answer to the question “Why I give...” for the chance to be featured in the Community Foundation’s social media campaign leading up to the giving day and a chance to win $250 for the nonprofit of their choice. All submissions for the challenge will be put into a randomizer and selected, with the awards going to the nonprofits during the giving day. At least 20 $250 prizes will be awarded.

This would be another great way for the Water With Blessings family
to participate in Give for Good Louisville 2020.
Eat, Drink, and Be Merry While Supporting
Water With Blessings
The Village Anchor – Celebrity Host event is their way of giving back to nonprofits in the Louisville area.

On Sunday, August 30, during the dinner shift (5-9pm), Water With Blessings will be the host for the evening. We'll get a percentage no matter what, but if we can get 100 people to participate, 10% of the night's total revenue will be donated to us. That includes each member of a group or family.

We hope you can join us in to celebrate and support our life-changing efforts in the US and around the world. Village Anchor is located at 11507 Park Road in Anchorage, Kentucky, 40223. The phone number is (502) 708-1850. You can visit their website at:

There's lots of outdoor seating, but take out orders will also count towards the donation.

If you're undecided about what to order, Sr. Larraine's favorites are Buffalo Chili and the Brussel Sprout Salad.

And yes, we’ll be at the door greeting guests with Swag Bags and telling them about Water With Blessings.

Please email any questions to Debbie at
This Week's Coffee Chat Will Also Have a Local Flavor
Even though things are still a little slow, you can't stop the momentum of people who want to provide clean water for God's thirsty children.

This week we'll have members of our Board of Directors and staff on the Coffee Chat to talk about all the Louisville-area activities benefiting Water With Blessings.

We look forward to hearing from you.
Are you missing that chance to sit down with your own friends over coffee? Perhaps you belong to a Bible study group or a club that hasn’t been able to meet due to the pandemic? How about a family get-together?

Water With Blessings will host a Coffee Chat for you!

  • We provide the Zoom license and all the set up.
  • You just make an appointment, alert family and friends, and send them the link.
  • You can lead the chat, or we can help you out -- whichever you prefer.
  • Catch up, share, pray... whatever, however you wish.

All we ask is that you give some time to talking about God’s thirsty children and Water With Blessings... and why you support our mission!

If you would like more information, please call our office, or email us at
We believe every child should be drinking clean water. Are you with us?
