Dear Orchestral Musician,

We are excited to announce our Fall Auditions for the 2011-12 Season of The Protg Philharmonic.

We would love to introduce other young musicians to the same high level rehearsal and concert experience you currently experience as a member of Protg.  Remember, if you are a current member of Protg, you do not need to audition.

Below is the Fall Audition Brochure which describes the upcoming 2011-12 Season for prospective members.  If you are already a member, this brochure will give you a powerful visual and descriptive tool to help you recruit new Protg members.

All photos in this brochure were taken at the July 31, 2011

CONCERTS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Audience Standing Ovation
Praised by the  Chicago Tribune for its
"energy, enthusiasm and ability
 to make music exciting . . .
up there with big-name orchestras".
 Here's what top notch professionals
are saying about The Protg Philharmonic!
"I met Joe Glymph almost 30 years ago shortly after joining the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.  This past year, my oldest son had the good fortune of playing in Joe's high school training orchestra, The Protg Philharmonic.  His experience with Joe and Protg were extremely beneficial both in his development as a musician and in preparation to attend college as a music major this Fall.  Thanks Joe!"
--Brad Opland, String Bass
 Chicago Symphony Orchestra
 "The Protg Philharmonic provides a fantastic opportunity for young musicians to play the standard orchestral repertoire in a high-level ensemble. I wish I could have played in an orchestra
like that when I was a student!"
--Eric Millstein, Percussion
Lyric Opera of Chicago
"My daughter Annie, who's now a Trumpet Performance major at St. Olaf College, really enjoyed her time in the Protege Philharmonic. The opportunity to play great literature with other students who were serious about music was a very enriching experience for her."
--Carl Grapentine/WFMT Radio
