L'SHANA HABA'AH B'OJAI!
Shalom Ramah Families,

We are excited to share that we now have over 500 campers enrolled for next Kayitz (summer)!

As we pave the road to Kayitz 2021, we know there are many uncertainties ahead. At the same time, there are a few things that we are now more certain about than ever. We narrowed the list down to three key pillars that will guide our work this year. Take a look below at our priorities for the months to come.
L'SHANA HABA'AH B'OJAI!
L'SHANA HABA'AH B'OJAI! (Next year in Ojai)
Most importantly, we are dedicated to bringing campers and staff together next kayitz in Ojai. That means we are spending time preparing for a typical summer by staff hiring, exploring new programming options, taking care of our beautiful grounds, and speaking to new and returning families. But, to return to camp next summer also means preparing for the unusual. With the possibility of a summer with COVID still present in our world, we're working to have the right plans and protocols in place by learning best practices from those who opened last summer and by planning safety measures with our medical committee led by Dr. Kasowitz. We are also preparing to support our chanichim (campers) and madrichim (counselors) emotionally after these difficult months and, in recognition of our lost summer in 2020, we are thinking about how to mark the key milestones our campers missed at camp.
L'SHANA HABA'AH B'OJAI!
DON'T WE ALL JUST NEED SOME GOOD OLD CAMP FUN?
It's been a long seven months, and we are all overdue for some campy fun, and, after 60 years, we've definitely got that mastered! We're bringing some Ramah favorites into your home this year. You can check them out on our website at www.ramah.org/events. This Sunday, we're even bringing CAMP TO YOU (virtually, of course)! Log on to Instagram or Facebook and check out "Meet Me at the Machane (camp)" to take a (virtual) drive through camp! We encourage you to share this visit to our Ojai home with prospective families who might be interested in camp!
L'SHANA HABA'AH B'OJAI!
A CONNECTED COMMUNITY
We missed a magical summer, and that's why we are committed to bringing our families, campers, and parents together this fall. While we know that there is virtual fatigue, we were blown away by the power of our community coming together last summer virtually. Nothing brings more happiness and hope than Ramahniks sharing smiles, stories, and strength.
With our focus on Kayitz 2021, bringing the fun of Ramah into your homes, and creating connections between our community members, we know this year will bring that Ramah magic as we have our eyes set on hanging out on the Givah together for Kayitz 2021!

Shalom,
Rabbi Joe and Ariella

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

We want you to know that, as always, we remain committed to transparent communication with you this year. Although we have mentioned it before, we want to remind you that while we are planning to operate at full capacity next summer, we are aware that for safety reasons or by state mandate, it could be necessary to adjust session length or limit camper capacity per session. In that event, enrollment will be determined by the order that applications were received. If you haven't already, we encourage you to enroll now for kayitz 2021!
