Warning: multiple BRIDGES WASHED OUT at Mt Rainier!
Do not attempt to cross these rivers. The Wonderland 100, Devils Dream 50M and the Spray Park 25k routes are severely affected, alternate routes will be required until the bridges are fixed which may not happen until next spring.
Here's the tweet from Mt Rainier National Park: Heavy rains have affected river crossings on trails in the park. The lower Carbon crossing is washed out. So. Mowich bridges are likely washed out. The bridge over the Carbon between Ipsut Creek & Carbon Glacier & crossings throughout the park are very dangerous at this time. Also the bridge south of White River Campground has been washed out.
Deadline Approaching
We hope you're all having fun and staying safe while getting in your runs! The deadline to submit your results is by 11:59pm(Pacific Time) this Monday Sept 28th.
We know it's been a year full of challenges and the past few weeks have been no different. We understand that some of you may have had trouble getting your miles in. Don't worry even if you miss the deadline to submit your results we will still accept your results and count you as a finisher. You just won't be eligible for performance based awards.
Share Your Story with Us
Please share your pics, videos and any details from your run with us. We'd love to see and hear what your run was like, and let us know if we can share the pics and videos and with everyone. It's one way we can try to foster a sense of shared experience.
When to Expect Your Stuff
We'll be sending out packages to runners starting next week for runners who either ordered their shirts and hoodies before the Sept 3rd deadline or runners who did not buy shirts or hoodies. Folks who ordered shirts and or hoodies after the Sept 3rd deadline will get their stuff in mid to late October.
The Post-Race Party
We thought it would be fun to wrap up this Wonderland adventure by trying to bring us all together, virtually of course. We'll announce the winners, give away some prizes, listen to some music from Kathryn's band Your Downstairs Neighbors, share stories and give y'all some updates on what's coming next in Rainshadow Running Land. And as usual with our events everyone is welcome!
