PROVINCIAL and FEDERAL UPDATE
Today, the provincial and federal governments  jointly announced :

The Wood Islands-Caribou Ferry service will resume this Friday, May 15, 2020, for the commercial trucking sector.

  • Service will initially be offered six days per week, from Sunday to Friday. Traffic will be monitored closely and adjustments to the schedule will likely be made. Depending on traffic levels, reservations may be required as the service progresses.
  • Service will initially only be available to large commercial trucks (larger than 30’ in length) and their drivers. Service for all other travellers will not be permitted until inter-provincial travel restrictions are lifted or the travel is otherwise permitted by the public health authorities. We are hopeful that service will be expanded to include other essential workers/essential travel in the near future.
