Say Hello to Emperatriz Madrid Ochoa:
Emperatriz is a lively and passionate Zumba instructor based in Connecticut, originally from Venezuela. With over 17 years of experience, she’s been bringing the joy of dance and fitness to communities across the state — including 17 years teaching with Woodbury Parks and Rec.
Though she began her professional journey as an accountant, Emperatriz found her true passion in Zumba. Her classes blend Latin-inspired rhythms like salsa, merengue, and bachata with effective cardio workouts, creating a high-energy, feel-good experience for all fitness levels.
Beyond the studio, she enjoys spending time with her family, discovering delicious local restaurants, watching new shows on Netflix, and cooking healthy, flavorful meals. Her love for good food and wellness further enriches her approach to health, helping her inspire others to embrace a balanced and vibrant lifestyle.
