From the Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department
|
To all of our patrons:
We hope this newsletter finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. We turn the page on the calendar again, and it brings new beginnings, a new season and a new school year! We have been very pleased with seeing kids playing on our baseball and soccer fields, and playing on the playground. Happy sounds indeed!
The Woodbury Parks and Recreation office is OPEN!
You are required to wear a mask upon entering, and bathrooms are not available to the public. Our hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
We do have to restrict the number of patrons in the building, so you may want to make an appointment prior to arriving (just in case we have a program at the time you arrive, we need to make accommodations to keep everyone safe.) We are also available and happy to assist you by phone, at 203-263-3113 or by email at jmiller@woodburyct.org or sandyv@woodburyct.org
Our website offers great resources to many questions as well. woodburyparksandrec.org should you have questions during our off hours.
The parks are still open, and we continue to highly encourage you to be sensible, practice social distancing, and do not touch maps, kiosks, or the playground equipment, and clean your hands before and after being in the park. Please wear a mask if you are able to do so. The playground is open. Please note that Hollow Park bathrooms are closed until further notice, and the playground is NOT sanitized. Hand sanitizer is not provided for any of the parks, you must bring your own. Bathrooms have been closed since March. Large groups using the fields and pavilion are advised upon getting permission to arrange for portable toilets to be rented and delivered.
If you are sick, or if anyone else in your household is sick, or showing any signs of illness to please stay home. We must all do our part to prevent the spread of this illness.
In the meantime, practice social distancing, stay well, and let’s hope to see each other in better times soon! Keep on checking on your neighbors, helping out and being positive, active citizens of Woodbury!
Thank you for your continued support in keeping Woodbury a clean, happy and beautiful place to live and play! If you have questions regarding this newsletter, please feel free to call
Sincerely,
Woodbury Parks & Recreation
