New Christmas Tree Installation

On Wednesday November 2nd, the Town of Woodbury welcomed this stunning 27 foot Norway Spruce to North Green as our new Town Christmas Tree!

This magnificent tree was generously donated to the Town by our local nursery Young’s at Three Rivers. The tree was transported by police escort down to North Green driven by THE MAN HIMSELF - SANTA CLAUSE! This iconic holiday symbol to be enjoyed for years to come would not be possible without the time and effort of many local constituents including Tree Warden Bud Neal, the Shade Tree & Sidewalk Committee, Woodbury Parks and Recreation and the Town of Woodbury.

We hope you will plan to join us for the Annual Tree Lighting to kick-off the holiday season on December 3rd, the first Saturday in December at 4:00pm for music, giveaways & most importantly of course - a visit from Santa Claus!

Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat was held on Halloween with over 600 cars in attendance, over 350 bags of candy distributed, and a car load of donations for the Woodbury Food Bank! The costumes were frightening, funny, adorable and everything in between! The 20 trunkers were really in the holiday SPIRT and the prize winners were so hard to choose this year it was SPOOKY! Congratulations to our award winners and thank you to all the trunkers who took the time and effort to participate. We also want to thank our event partners: Boy Scout Troop 480 and the Junior Women's Club for all their support making the night special. Thank you as well to our sponsors: Pediatric Dental Southbury & O&G Industries for their continued support.

Mighty Ball
The game clock is started & with evaluations complete, basketball season is officially here! With record numbers in Travel, Mighty & Biddy Ball programs we know it's going to be a slam dunk of a season! A special thank you to all the parents who have already grabbed their whistles and raised their hand to be put on the sideline to coach this year, as we wouldn't have a program without their time & dedication. The puns for this section were a lay-up.. sorry did that cross the foul line?
