The Town of Woodbury welcomes
Jami Gore,
Woodbury’s New Parks and Recreation Director.

Jami is originally from Ocala, Florida and has her undergraduate degree from University of Central Florida and her Masters from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional and is very active in both the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) and the Connecticut Recreation and Parks Association (CRPA). She is the 2021 winner of the CRPA’s “R. Peter Ledger Young Professional Award” and is currently the NPRA’s Leadership Development Network Topic Specialist. Most recently, she has been a vital part of Darien Parks and Recreation department where she created numerous new programs and new community events and worked on implementing capital projects.

Prior to Darien, Jami was the Assistant Director of Events Management and Facilities for Wake Forest University Athletics in North Carolina.

Jami is a lifelong avid equestrian and her beloved horse, Irish, has been by her side for the last 23 years. Jami and her husband operate a small family-owned breeding farm in Seymour, Connecticut.

Jami has found her passion in Parks and Recreation, as it combines her love of both sports and the outdoors. To her, Parks and Recreation is about creating offerings that bring the community together. She looks forward to bringing her passion and experience to Woodbury!
