About:
Richmond John Band with John Newton and Jeff Morris. They have been playing as a group for 5 years and the band originates out of Virginia Beach as the (Happy Jack Band). They have performed at Baja in Virginia Beach, at the Redskins training camp for annual events, the Virginia Cliff Inn, the Wine Station in Scott’s Addition, and the Virginia Home. They play music from the 70’s, 80s’s and 90’s. John plays guitar and keyboard and is the lead vocalist. Jeff plays percussion and sings background vocals. Jeff has performed from Richmond to New York with the Oregon Hill Funk Allstars for over 20 years and Hotel X. Hotel X was voted best jazz band in Richmond by the Richmond Jazz society.

Paving Update
Woodlake Village Parkway
The paving project should be complete by the end of next week, July 8, weather permitting. Permanent pavement markings are scheduled to be installed during the night time hours next week, again, weather permitting.

POOL PROJECT UPDATE!
Swim & Racquet Center (SRC) Pool Project

Updates are being provided on a monthly basis, and include reports given each month at the Board of Directors meetings. Photos, video clips, and time-lapse photography of the project are being made available as work progresses. See below for the respective links.

AFC POOL NEWS
Entry: Entry and check in for the outdoor pool should be through the side gate from the walking trail.
Parking: Please park in the main AFC parking lots.
The loop of parking from the neighboring commercial building up to the trail is not WCA property and should be avoided during normal business hours of M-F 8am-5pm.
Attire: Please remember that we are a family pool and to wear appropriate swimsuits.
Guests: Each property is allotted 8 guests per day.

BEAUTY.....
A Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly visited the pollinator garden last week, spending some time at the scarlet beebalm and the purple coneflowers. The pollinator garden is located on the trail just past the Boat House.

Water Hemlock Plants
A few of these plants have appeared near the Marina and Boathouse. They are very poisonous, so please take care to avoid them and protect your little ones from bringing you a pretty but oh so toxic bouquet!

PLEASE LEASH YOUR DOG
We have had several recent reports of unleashed dogs charging on people and/or their dogs. Please make sure to keep everyone safe, including our beloved pets, by using a leash whenever your dogs are outside of your home or your fenced in yard. This includes the trails.
