PLYMOUTH — A 41-year-old worker assigned to the decommissioning of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station for several months in 2021 claims he was poisoned by radiation and that Holtec Pilgrim, the plant’s owner, misled workers about safety. He has sued the company for injuries caused by “the release of radioactive, hazardous, and toxic substances.”

Plymouth-A former Holtec worker at the shuttered Pilgrim nuclear power plant has filed suit against the company, alleging he was poisoned by radiation.
Adam Snyder, 41, a boilermaker from Ohio, also claims the company kept secret the dangerous conditions at the Manomet plant, which stopped generating power in 2019 and is being decommissioned by Holtec. Snyder’s suit alleges that he became seriously ill because of Holtec’s discharge of “radioactive, hazardous, and toxic substances at the job site.”

BOSTON (WHDH) - Radioactive material is getting lost in Massachusetts and it’s ending up where you least expect it. Now, some are worried it could end up in the wrong hands. 7’s Dave Puglisi investigates.
Containers labeled radioactive dumped behind a home. A radioactive shipment sitting unclaimed at Logan Airport. A nuclear gauge for sale at a local flea market, and radioactive equipment from the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant lost. For people living near the now closed plant, the concern isn’t about what is missing but who might find it.
“What if it got into the hands of a terrorist?” asked Plymouth resident Joanne Corrigan.
