Help Families in India
As you know, India is suffering deeply from the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The news coming out of India affects Bright School because we have and have had many families from India whose loved ones in India are bearing the brunt of the situation. There are many ways to help, of course, but one way is through a fund established by the Shantha family, whose son Neel is in the 4th grade. Donations will help purchase oxygen concentrators for hospitals around the region of Bangalore, where they formerly lived. If you are interested in helping, you can donate through the following link:  https://pureonline.org/3sisters.php.
Spring Music Videos
Grades PK-5 perform in "A Spring Musical Movement," directed by Cindy Beirne.
Fourth and fifth grade hand bell groups directed by Mrs. Beirne. Watch them live on Thursday, May 20, at 5 p.m. in the courtyard. Guests are limited to four people per student.
Letters to Mr. Morgan
Our students and teachers have been celebrating Mr. Morgan in this Spring of Gratitude. Parents are now invited to send letters to Mr. Morgan that will be collected and presented to him at the end of the month. If you would like to send a note, you may send it to school with your child to be given to Elizabeth Davis or you may send an email to [email protected]. If your note is short, you may send it through our website. Click here to write a note.

Third grade celebrated Mr. Morgan last week. Check out the cool video they made!
Purchase Plants to Benefit the Eco-Literacy Program
There are vegetable plants and flowers from the Bright Blooms sale still available for purchase. All proceeds go to the eco-literacy program overseen by Lynn Shelton.

If you would like to order plants, please use this form. Follow the instructions for ordering, payment and pick up. All vegetable plants are $5 each, and flowers are $3 or $5 each. (Lynn has Venmo, or you can pay cash or with a check.)
Free Dress Day on Friday
Second grader Layla Large, who was Mr. Morgan on Friday, declared this Friday, May 14, as a Free Dress Day. Layla and sister Leighton, a fourth grader, were Mr. Morgan and Mrs. Jackson on Friday thanks to the Pajama Party Auction.
