Families signed up for Bright Care and Bright Prep will receive an email tomorrow from Ascend by Base Camp Health about the secure online system we are using during the program in July to help monitor the health of students, faculty and staff. Please complete the instructions in the email to register. All students, faculty and staff coming to school during those days are required to use the Ascend system prior to arrival. This is the same system we will be using when school begins in August. For now, only families signed up for Bright Care and Bright Prep will need to register for Ascend. Families registered for Bright Care and Bright Prep also will receive information about procedures such as arrival and dismissal, the use of face coverings and other details via email.

Last week, we unveiled our plan for the start of school in August. We will continue to update and add to the plan during the summer.

Registration Day

There will be no Registration Day this year to avoid a large gathering.

Phase-In Days

All grades will have Phase-In Days on August 18-21. Small groups of about four students per classroom will come each day. Parents will be invited to visit the classroom with their children and stay for a set amount of time that morning. Students will stay all day (until 1 p.m. for JPK and PK and until 3 p.m. for grades K-5). These Phase-In Days will help acclimate both children and teachers to new health and safety procedures. There will be no Bright Afternoons during Phase-In Days. You will receive the date of your child's Phase-In Day and more details in July.

Face Coverings

All students are required to wear a face covering when arriving at school in the morning. However, they will not wear face coverings all day. They will only wear them in the hallways and at other times when physical distance is not possible or when they are outside their cohort/classroom.

Calendar Changes

We have updated our calendar to include Phase-In Days. There are no changes to any breaks. Download a new calendar here .

Our Guerry International Plaza displays the flags of nations represented by our families. We are ready to purchase new flags for next school year. If you are new or don't see a flag that represents your family, please let us know. Visit the website to see a listing of the current flags.
