School Reminders
Events
There will be no Open House or Grandparents and Special Friends' Day this year. We originally had these dates listed on our calendar. We are filming a special music performance by the students that will be posted on the website and on social media and linked in Woodshop for all to enjoy.

Also, the used uniform sale announced last week will not take place during the school year. There will be a sale during the summer. If you have used uniforms to donate, please bring them to the front lobby.

If you ordered dinners to go from Il Primo, those will be ready for pick up next Tuesday, May 4, between 1-5 p.m. During this time, you may also shop the bookstore clearance and plants from the Bright Blooms sale.

COVID-19 Protocols
Our face coverings requirement remains in place for the remainder of the school year. Please make sure your child has a mask that fits well and that he or she brings extras to school. If your child tests positive or is exposed to a positive case, please
contact Nurse Rachel at [email protected].

Plans for the Fall
The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff is our highest priority, and we have been very cautious this year in order to remain in school. As planning begins for the next school year, we will continue to monitor all COVID-19 guidelines and use the advice and counsel from the health professionals on our COVID-19 task force. We have not yet made decisions about our COVID-19 protocols such as wearing masks in the fall. All of our current guidelines for wearing masks, social distancing, and completing the Ascend online survey each day will apply to Bright Days, our summer program.
Reading on the Roof
Mr. Morgan on the Roof
Mr. Morgan fulfilled his promise and spend last Thursday and Thursday night on the roof. He greeted everyone Friday morning in the car line from his perch by the concourse.

Thank you, Mr. Morgan, and thank you everyone for reading 1 million minutes!

To mark the day and Mr. Morgan's career, Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger proclaimed last Thursday O.J. Morgan Day.
Summer Skills Order Forms Due Wednesday.
These workbooks are a good way for your child to maintain the skills learned this year. If you would like to purchase them, please complete this form and return it with payment to the office by Wednesday.

Middle School Roundtable on May 3
Parents of students in grades 3-5 are invited to learn more about what to expect in middle school at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 3, at Peeples Pavlion. The heads of middle schools at Baylor, GPS, and McCallie will discuss child development, academics, and social aspects of life after Bright. Parents may attend in person -- Peeples Pavilion is outdoors -- or you can join via Zoom. The meeting ID is 752 949 6390 and passcode is BeBright.
Please Return Uniforms
Please return any basketball or soccer uniforms to the office. These uniforms will be used again next year. Thank you!
Book Fair is May 3-7
We know our students love to read, now is a great time to stock up on books for the summer. Books also make great gifts for teachers. Our teachers have created wish lists for their classrooms.

The book fair will be May 3-7. Students will attend in person, and parents may send in money or use a gift card. Parents, grandparents and others may shop online only. Books bought online will be shipped to school and sent home with your child. The online store will open on May 3 and close on May 7. Please see a separate email and flyer coming home with your child for the links and codes.
