Celebration on Friday Reveals Plans for a Bright Future
Parents: We hope to see you Friday evening at the Edwin Hotel, where we will unveil our very exciting plans for the future.

The event is 6-7:30 p.m., and the dress is festive cocktail attire. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and music. (This is an adult-only event.)
Track Meet Tomorrow: Do Not Park on Minnekahda
Tomorrow is another track meet with one more to go on April 29. Bright Afternoons pick-up will be held on the concourse. Please reference the photo below for the flow of traffic. When you enter the school parking lot, please have your  green name sign visible on your dashboard  and ready to inform our Bright School parking attendants that you will need to pick up from Bright Afternoons. Proceed to the front of the concourse area to pick up your child. Our Bright Afternoons staff will call for your child and bring the tablet to your car for you to enter your parent code. There will be no parking available on campus during the track meet, so plan to stay in the car as you drive up.
If you are attending the track meet, please park at Stuart Heights Baptist Church and ride the shuttle to campus. Shuttles will begin at 3:45 p.m. Families will be dropped off at the sundial. The gate fees are $3 per adult, $2 per child, or a $10 maximum per family. We ask parents to please supervise children attending the meets as spectators.

Our neighbors who live on Minnekahda Place, which is the road above McDade, have reported several cars parking there and partially blocking the road. Please do not park on that street. Thank you!
Fifth Grade Bake Sale Is Thursday
The annual fifth grade bake sale is April 25. Students from each grade will have a chance to visit the sale and purchase sweets. The bake sale raises money for the fifth grade gift to the school. If you would like your child to support the sale, send in cash with your child. Most items are 50 cents to a few dollars.

If you ordered Krispy Kreme donuts in advance, you will receive those that day as you indicated on your form.

Proceeds from the sale go toward the fifth grade's gift to the school that is announced at graduation.
Garden Day Is Wednesday
Our spring gardening day is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. We will offer drinks and pizza for all of our wonderful volunteers! If you would like to make a donation to the gardens, we are in need of tomato, cucumber, and squash seedlings, along with any herbs. If you plan to volunteer during our garden day and/or would like to contribute to our garden with the needed plants, please RSVP to Mr. Greene at  [email protected] by tomorrow. Thank you!

If you are interested in ordering a Summer Skills book for your child, complete and return the form with payment by May 3. If you have any questions about summer reading requirements, please contact Assistant Head of School Christy Lusk at [email protected].
It's Time to Order Yearbooks
We're putting together the 2018-19 yearbook, and now it's time for you to reserve your copy. Order now by going online. Click here or on the box.

Yearbooks are $35 each. They will be available for pick up for rising grades PK-4 at next year's Registration Day. Current fifth graders will receive their yearbooks at a special gathering in the fall.
Reserve Your Seat at the Baseball Game
Take us out to the ballgame! The Parents' Association is planning a Bright Family outing to the Lookouts baseball game on Saturday, May 11. Gates open at 6 p.m. Dinner is served from 6:15-7:45 p.m. First pitch is at 7:15 p.m.

Tickets of $22 a person include picnic buffet and a seat at the game. This form and money are due by Friday, May 3.
Plan for the Bright School Picnic
The annual Bright School Picnic is May 17. There is no school that day. Instead, students of all grades and their families spend the morning at Cross Creek Farm in Ringgold, Georgia, for fun games, races, and food. It is always a favorite day for students! The action begins at 9 a.m., so please arrive between 8:30 and 9 a.m. to get a good spot along the race area. Bring chairs, blankets and cold water, if you like. Lunch will be served after the races. Tickets are complimentary for fifth graders, and their families. Otherwise, it is $5 a person, paid by May 10. Please see this information sheet and payment form.
