Reminder for Nut-Free Parties
Please remember the school is nut-free and that all snacks and treats brought to school must NOT contain any tree nuts, peanuts or peanut butter. Check with your child's teacher if you are unsure what foods are safe to bring for holiday parties and treats. We have several students with life-threatening food allergies, and we ask everyone to be cautious and considerate when bringing food. Thank you!
Visit the Book Fair This Week
The annual Book Fair is this week and is open before, during and after school.

Each class has a scheduled time to attend the Book Fair, and parents and grandparents are welcome to attend with their child(ren). For a schedule, please visit this page.

Books at the fair are provided by Scholastic Books, and the library will receive 35-40 percent of the proceeds from the fair. Students may visit the fair with their parents before or after school. The hours are 7:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:15 a.m. to noon on Friday.

Students may choose to purchase books as gifts for their classrooms. Teachers have wish lists available for view in the library. For more information, see the flyer.
Support a Good Cause on December 17
The Bright School is offering a parents afternoon out on Monday, December 17, with proceeds benefiting the Forrest Spence Fund. For $20 per child, you will get an afternoon to shop, wrap presents or run errands, while your child enjoys extra time with friends to watch movies, work on crafts and write letters to children in the hospital. This activity lasts from 3-6 p.m., and you may pick up your child anytime from the Centennial Theater. (This is separate from Bright Afternoons.)

The Forrest Spence Fund provides non-medical assistance to families with critically and chronically ill children. This will benefit families with children at Children's Hospital at Erlanger.

To register your child, download this form or look for a form in your child's folder or backpack and turn it in with payment by December 12.
Join Us for Ice Skating on December 18
The Parents' Association has planned a wonderful outing for all students and their families: Ice Skating on Tuesday, December 18, at 3:30 p.m. The cost is $6 per child and $8 per adult, which includes skates and unlimited skating. The PA is providing hot chocolate and water until 4:30 p.m.

Please let us know if you are coming! Return this form to the office with payment by Wednesday, December 12. Even if you have a season pass, please RSVP.
