Complete the Survey
We would like more feedback from families about how you are doing at home. Please complete the survey included in the weekly blast from your child's teacher. Thank you!
The Faculty and Staff Relief Fund
The generosity of trustee Ray Ryan and his wife Jill, both former parents, has enabled Bright School to establish The Faculty and Staff Relief Fund. The fund provides assistance for Bright School employees during times of extreme distress caused by unexpected events such as storm damage, a sudden death in a family, serious accidents, or widespread sickness. If you would like to donate to this fund, please note "Faculty and Staff Relief Fund" on a check or in an online donation.
How Does Your Garden Grow? Join the Challenge.
Since many families are at home these days, some are starting gardens or continuing with ones they have had in the past. Growing your own vegetables is a fun and healthy activity! Coaches McDaniel and Linehart and Lynn Shelton, the eco-literacy specialist in charge of our early childhood gardens, are challenging you to start a garden and send in your photos. Take a picture of your child in front or beside the garden or even if it's just a pot or two and send it to Elizabeth Davis at [email protected] by this Friday, May 1, at 3 p.m. We'll get all the photos together into a slideshow and display it on social media and in next week's Woodshop. Don't know how to grow vegetables? Watch this brief tutorial on growing tomato plants from Mrs. Shelton.
Be Grateful. Be Bright!
We are creating a wall of gratitude on our website to share messages of thanks to our teachers, staff, families and friends. If you would like to contribute, please email a note or take a picture of a drawing or your child with a sign and send it to Elizabeth Davis at [email protected]. Thank you!
Bright Fest Friday and Bright Fit Friday
Join us this Friday for another Bright Fest Friday via Zoom at 11 a.m. Wear any Bright shirt shirt to show your Bright School spirit. Send a photo to Ms. Davis at [email protected].

After BFF, coaches McDaniel and Linehart will lead Bright Fit Friday for students and parents who want to do exercises together. Just stay on the Zoom meeting after BFF for Bright Fit Friday to begin. The coaches will let you know if you need any supplies like a jump rope or a weight for that day's exercises. You'll have five minutes to get ready, and then the workout will begin. Who are we? Bright Fit!
