Health Reminders
Our face coverings requirement remains in place for the remainder of the school year. Please make sure your child has a mask that fits well and that he or she brings extras to school.

If your child tests positive or is exposed to a positive case, please
contact Nurse Rachel at [email protected].

With warmer temperatures here, make sure your child has a water bottle at school each day.
Reading on the Roof
Thank you to our students and families for reporting how much you read each day! We made it to 1 million minutes in only seven weeks!

This means Mr. Morgan has to fulfill his promise to go on the roof! Weather permitting, he will be going to the roof on Thursday, spending the night, and coming down Friday morning. Wave to him in car line!
Bright Blooms Sale
The Bright Blooms Eco-Literacy Plant Sale will be this Thursday and Friday. Early childhood students helped Mrs. Lynn plant seeds for the items that will be sold. They will shop on Thursday, the first day.

Parents of students in grades 1-5 may shop on Friday between 7:45 a.m. and noon. The sale will be held outdoors in Peeples Pavilion. Prices range from $3 to $5.

All proceeds benefit the eco-literacy program and the gardens.

Middle School Roundtable on May 3
Parents of students in grades 3-5 are invited to learn more about what to expect in middle school at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 3, at Peeples Pavlion. The heads of middle schools at Baylor, GPS, and McCallie will discuss child development, academics, and social aspects of life after Bright. Parents may attend in person -- Peeples Pavilion is outdoors -- or you can join via Zoom. The meeting ID is 752 949 6390 and passcode is BeBright.
Book Fair is May 3-7
We know our students love to read, now is a great time to stock up on books for the summer. Books also make great gifts for teachers. Our teachers have created wish lists for their classrooms.

The book fair will be May 3-7. Students will attend in person, and parents may send in money or use a gift card. Parents, grandparents and others may shop online only. Books bought online will be shipped to school and sent home with your child. The online store will open on May 3 and close on May 7. Please see a separate email and flyer coming home with your child for the links and codes.

Next Track Meet: Today
The next track meet will be today. The final meet is next week. Due to these meets, this will impact our normal Bright Afternoons pick-up routine.

On the days of track meets, Bright Afternoons and help class pick-ups will be at the concourse. When you pull down the driveway, please drive in front of the concourse area with your green name sign visible on your dashboard. Also, please be ready to inform our Bright School parking officer of your need to pick up from Bright Afternoons. Our Bright Afternoons staff will call for your child and sign them out.

There will be no parking available on campus during track meets, so plan to stay in the car as you drive up.

Bright Scene
Kindergarten students went bird watching with Mr. Morgan last week as part of their Spring of Gratitude activities. They each made pictures of birds and presented them individually to Mr. Morgan in his office. Mr. Morgan spent time in each classroom as they decorated homemade binoculars. Kindergarten also presented Mr. Morgan with a floral arrangement for this office and a book donated to the library in his honor.
