Health Updates
Face Coverings
With eight days left of school, we will continue with our current mask policy. The students have been very diligent in this. Masks may be taken off during outdoor recess and P.E. Thank you for your cooperation.

Water Bottles
Temperatures are going to be much higher this week and next. Please make sure your child brings his or her water bottle to school every day.
School Event Reminders
Fourth and Fifth Grade Hand Bell Concert: Thursday at 5 p.m.
Students will perform on the courtyard/concourse area. Seating will be limited to four guests per student.

Bright School Picnic: Friday
Students come to school as usual. It is a free dress day. Make sure your child has a water bottle and wears tennis shoes. There will be games and activities all day for students. Lunch will be Chick-fil-a nuggets, sandwiches, chips and dessert.

Thanks to a purchase at the silent auction at Sunday Fun Day, the entire school has a free dress day. Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes for P.E.

Fifth Grade Recognition Day and Last Day of School: Wednesday, May 26, 8:30 a.m.
Fifth and fourth grade attend this event to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class. Parents of fifth graders may attend. It is a free dress day for all students, but fifth graders wear uniforms to school and change clothes after the event.
Help Families in India
As you know, India is suffering deeply from the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The news coming out of India affects Bright School because we have and have had many families from India whose loved ones in India are bearing the brunt of the situation. There are many ways to help, of course, but one way is through a fund established by the Shantha family, whose son Neel is in the 4th grade. Donations will help purchase oxygen concentrators for hospitals around the region of Bangalore, where they formerly lived. If you are interested in helping, you can donate through the following link:  https://pureonline.org/3sisters.php.
Read, Read, Read in the Summer
Summer is a great time to read, and we've got book information for you. Check out the information from your child's teacher about reading packets for rising grades K-5. For more information, visit our summer reading page.
Be a School Sponsor
Support Bright School as a school sponsor. We are seeking businesses and companies to be school sponsors for 2021-22. If you are interested in seeing your name listed on the website and on the sign by the concourse and ECC, please contact Kim Brown [email protected] to learn more.
Letters to Mr. Morgan
Our students and teachers have been celebrating Mr. Morgan in this Spring of Gratitude. Parents are now invited to send letters to Mr. Morgan that will be collected and presented to him at the end of the month. If you would like to send a note, you may send it to school with your child to be given to Elizabeth Davis or you may send an email to [email protected]. If your note is short, you may send it through our website. Click here to write a note.
Purchase Plants to Benefit the Eco-Literacy Program
There are vegetable plants and flowers from the Bright Blooms sale still available for purchase. All proceeds go to the eco-literacy program overseen by Lynn Shelton.

If you would like to order plants, please use this form. Follow the instructions for ordering, payment and pick up. All vegetable plants are $5 each, and flowers are $3 or $5 each. (Lynn has Venmo, or you can pay cash or with a check.)
