Learning in a new classroom
Our teachers and students love their new learning environments! Check out the new technology and ways of learning in this video.
Bonanza is Friday!
Friday is a half day, and all students dismiss at 11:30 a.m. There will be no Bright Afternoons to allow for set up at the school.

All parking for the event will be at Stuart Heights Baptist Church, and shuttles will run throughout the afternoon and evening. Do not park on Minnekahda Place. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Come and enjoy the food, games, music and fun!
Bring cakes on Wednesday and Thursday. They will be collected in the morning car line. Remember, no nuts, and store bought is fine. Bring your Jazzy Jars if you have not already.

Students may wear their Bonanza shirts on Friday with any uniform bottom or shorts or skorts sold in the Bright 1913 Bookstore. There are some shirts still available in the office. The bookstore has new inventory of shorts, $24 for youth sizes and $28 for adult.
Dot Day Art Due on Thursday
Students are invited to participate in International Dot Day outside of school by creating a work of art at home using this worksheet . Completed artworks are due Thursday, September 19.

Dot Day was inspired by the book "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds, and it celebrates creativity, courage and collaboration.

Bright Scene
Fifth, fourth and third graders wrote poems in honor of Miss Bright's birthday, which was going to be celebrated on Friday during the afternoon assembly. Miss Bright was born on September 16, 1885. Students learned about Miss Bright by studying the pictures in the KEC and reading a book written by a Bright alumnus about his memories of Miss Bright. Pictured above: Fifth grade teacher Ann O'Brien helps Gabriel Cyrus and Caleb Hitchcock with their poems about Miss Bright.
