Complete the SAIS Survey
All parents, faculty and staff, alumni and board members should have received an email this morning from the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) with a link to the value narrative survey. As Mr. Morgan mentioned in an email on Friday, the results of this survey will be used in the school's next strategic plan and accreditation with SAIS. We appreciate your help in completing the survey. If you did not receive an email from [email protected] this morning, please contact Elizabeth Davis at [email protected]. Check your junk folders and make sure it was not marked as spam. Thank you!
Keep Bidding!
The Pajama Party Auction is live through 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 1. Bid high and bid often for the children of Bright School. There are a myriad of fun one-of-a-kind experiences for children, wonderful art and lots of great stuff.
Art Party and Auction
Thank you to everyone who came out Saturday night to the Art Party and Auction. We had a great turnout! We would like to thank the hosts of the evening Betsy Ranalli and Tamara Dillard, grade art project coordinator Lynn Shelton, invitation coordinator Anna Adamson, sponsorship chair Allison Cromie, and staff Kim Brown, Sabrina McAllister and Stacy Sisk.
What to Wear?
With cooler temperatures, please make sure your child is properly dressed. Children may wear jackets and coats of any kind to school, but they must take off those jackets and coats when inside the school. If your child is cold inside, he or she needs to keep a uniform sweater or sweatshirt handy.

Wednesday, October 31:  Students may wear orange or Halloween shirts with uniform bottoms. They also may wear Halloween socks and accessories like necklaces and headbands. Costumes and masks are not allowed.

Thursday, November 1, Pajama Day:  To celebrate the last day of the Pajama Party Auction, all students may wear pajamas to school on this day. Parents, please remember students will still be going to PE and recess, so make sure your child is dressed appropriately to be outside and active. Students must wear tennis shoes with their pajamas.
Box Tops Due Today
Collect and submit Box Tops to win this fabulous Bright plaid blanket! Turn in your Box Tops by this afternoon. Bring the Box Tops in a baggie or envelope with your child's name and teacher on it. The overall school winner will receive a blanket from the Bright 1913 Bookstore.
Say Boo to the Flu
It's cold, flu and strep throat season! If your child has not gotten a flu shot, nurse Robbins recommends that you make an appointment at your child's pediatrician or get a flu shot at any number of pharmacies or stores that offer them.

If your child is sick, please keep him or her at home. Children must be fever free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school.
