Back-to-School Information
Forms
The start of school is just around the corner. There are several forms that must be turned in prior to the start of school. This year, we are switching over to Blackbaud, a new online database and parent portal for all of our school information. All forms will be online. Please watch for a separate email coming Wednesday with a link to all the forms.

Bright Afternoons
We will have pre-registration for Bright Afternoons included in the form email coming to you on Wednesday. We need to plan for the number of students each day. There will be no drop-ins allowed.

Immunizations
All students must have an updated immunization form on file by the first day of school. Students in grades JPK, PK and kindergarten and any new students should receive a new form from their pediatrician when immunizations are updated each year. New forms do not need to be turned in after students have completed immunizations. Immunization records need to be on a Tennessee form.

School Supplies
Bright students do not need to purchase school supplies. All the supplies students need will be purchased by teachers and covered by the supply fee each family pays. JPK and PK students are given a book bag to use for school. Students in grades K-5 may use any backpack or bag of their choice. Grades JPK-K do need rest mats, and those are purchased through the school on the Phase-In Days.

Fees
Supply fees will be drafted through each family's FACTS account on August 7. Families who do not have a FACTS account need to turn in payment by the first day of school. For questions, please contact Sabrina McAllister at  [email protected].

The fees are as follows:
JPK: $50
PK, K, 1, 2: $120
3 & 4: $125
5: $145

Phase-In Days
Instead of Registration Day this year, we are having Phase-In Days for all students. These Phase-In Days will be August 18-21. Families will receive an email on August 3 informing you of your child's Phase-In Day. Siblings will come on the same day. Phase-In Days are full school days, and students wear uniforms. Watch your mailbox for a special letter announcing your child's teacher the week of August 10.
Be Happy. Be Together. Be BRIGHT!

New This Week:
  • All students, faculty and staff will wear face coverings at all times indoors. There will be regular breaks taken outside when masks may be removed and there is physical distancing.
  • Students need to bring two face coverings to keep at school at all times.
  • Face coverings may be cloth or disposable masks, buffs or bandanas.
  • More information about monitoring illness: what happens if someone tests positive.
  • We will review all protocols during the first trimester and make changes as needed and based on the current situation.
Ascend
All families will be using the Ascend online system each morning before school begins. You will log any symptoms your child may be experiencing, including a temperature of 100.4 or above. It is crucial for all families to complete the brief online questionnaire before arriving at school. Families will receive log-in instructions before school begins.

Calendar Changes
We have updated our calendar to include Phase-In Days. There are no changes to any breaks. Download a new calendar here .
Watch some of our rising fifth graders demonstrate the new COVID-19 protocols. Thanks to Mrs. Hyer and her class for participating in this video on the last day of Bright Prep.
