Help With the Auction
Calling all auction volunteers! If you would like to help gather items for the auction, come to a drop-in meeting with auction chairs Ashley Ladebauche and Ann Marie Eichelberger tomorrow. Drop by Peeples Pavilion any time between 10 a.m. and noon. If you have questions or items you would like to donate to the auction, please contact Kim Brown at [email protected].
Plan Ahead for Parent Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences will be held on September 24 and 25. September 24 is a half day, and September 25 is a full day off. Parents may choose to attend conferences in person or via Zoom. A link for sign ups will be included in teacher blasts on Friday. All conferences will be with homeroom teachers, including fourth and fifth grades.

We are offering Bright Afternoons on September 24 and 25 if enough children are signed up. Due to smaller numbers, children will likely be grouped by grade. We will have a sign up for Bright Afternoons during conferences in next week's Woodshop with a deadline of September 18. We are not offering drop-in care as we have in the past. If your child comes with you to your conference, he or she will need to wait outside the classroom.
If You Pick Up Your Child Early
If you need to sign out your child early for any reason such as a doctor or dentist appointment, please contact receptionist Elizabeth Jackson in advance. Email or call her the day before or earlier in the day to let her know what time you need your child, and she will have your child ready to leave when you arrive. Email her at [email protected] or call at 423-267-8546.

Early childhood parents will come to the main entrance at the columns to sign out children. To make the dismissal more efficient, classrooms assistants will bring children out to the ECC entrance. So after you check out at the main entrance, please drive around to the ECC entrance. Also, if your child in JPK, PK or kindergarten comes to school late, check in at the main entrance and then drive your child to the ECC entrance.
Sunshine Math Is Open
Sunshine Math is a voluntary program offered by the Kilbride Enrichment Center. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are encouraged to participate. It provides an ongoing opportunity throughout the school year for students to sharpen their mathematical problem-solving skills.
New this Year: Problems can be downloaded and printed to work on independently at a student's own pace. To establish a consistent routine, students may wish to complete a few questions during homework time each day. An answer key can be downloaded to check answers. Students will not turn in problem sets at this time. Visit the Sunshine Math website to get started.
Collect Box Tops
Box Tops are now collected by a smartphone/tablet app. After you shop, use the app to scan your receipts, and the app will instantly add earnings to our school account for participating products. Invite your family and friends to download the app to earn for our school too. Anyone can earn money for Bright School! When you scan your receipt, select “Credit” and enter your child’s grade. For example, Jr Pre-k, Pre-k, K, 1st, etc.
We will still collect Box Tops that have been clipped, so hold onto those for now. More information will follow about a friendly competition with a fun reward! Make sure you download the app and scan your receipts starting now. See below for links to the Box Tops for Education app for Apple and Google Play: Apple Store or  Google Play
