Registration for After School Classes and Bright Afternoons
Online registration is now open for after school classes for all grades. There are several options for Mondays through Thursdays. Visit the Bright Afternoons website for details about all the classes.

Remember, payment for the classes is due to the office by Registration Day. Checks should be made out to the instructor, not Bright School.

Purchase Tickets for BBQ and Bluegrass
Join us for a fun night of BBQ, bluegrass music by the band "Handpicked" and goat games to benefit the Building a Bright Future Capital Campaign.

This event is 6:30-9 p.m. at the school, and is for adults only. Proceeds from the tickets go toward the campaign. Tickets are $50 per person or $100 for a couple.
Used Uniform Sale Tomorrow
Stock up now on uniforms. The used uniform sale is tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Treehouse, which is located above the main entrance at the columns.

Check out our uniform guidelines website for more information about what students may wear. Threads will offer embroidery and heat press of logos on items brought to the store.
Contact Information
Families should receive an email tomorrow about correcting and updating your contact information. It is vital to make changes now to this information. Addresses, phone numbers and emails will be included in the directory that is printed and distributed at Parents Night on August 29. This information also will be available on the parent portal, so please keep it updated throughout the year.
Music Lessons
Registration is now open for fall music lessons through Girls Preparatory School's Cadek Conservatory of Music. Last year, some 80 boys and girls took lessons through Cadek at Bright. New students should contact director, Albert Whiting, at [email protected] before registering. Returning students may begin registration at this link.
Calendar Information
Registration Day is Wednesday, August 14.
Grades K-5 attend the morning session, 9-11:30 a.m. There will be no parking on campus, and there will be shuttles from Stuart Heights Baptist Church. Families will receive the name of their child's teacher by email that morning. Students do not wear uniforms. More details will be coming in the next few weeks.

Grades JPK and PK attend the afternoon session, 1-2 p.m. in the Early Childhood Center building. Parking will be available on campus. More details coming soon.

Bonanza is Friday, September 20.
This is a half day, and there will be no Bright Afternoons that day. All children dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Bonanza, a carnival-like event, will be 4-7 p.m. at the school.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, January 20.
Usually, we are in school on this holiday, however, we have had families express an interest in participating in community activities. Therefore, this will not be a regular school day. We encourage families to take part in events happening across the city, and we will provide information about those in advance along with faculty and staff members who will be attendance and the school's contact at the event. The school also will provide Bright Afternoons during the school day and afterwards. More details will be announced later.
