Finish the Campaign
We're in the final stages of the Building a Bright Future Capital Campaign, but we need your help to finish it. As you may remember, we completed phase 1 renovations in summer 2019. We halted the renovations that were scheduled for summer 2020, but we're back on to complete both phase 2 and 3 in summer 2021. Click the button below if you would like to learn more, give now or pledge now.

Since completion of phase 1, the technology in our first, second and third grade classrooms has vastly improved. Today, students and teachers enjoy using the Promethean Boards. Up to 20 little fingers can touch the board at once. Teachers can interact with shared screens directly from the board to increase student collaboration and participation. Multiple devices may connect to the panel.
COVID-19 Concerns
Cases in our area continue to rise, and we also are starting to see more instances of close contacts. Please be vigilant when you are out in the community and try to be as safe as possible by wearing face coverings and social distancing. Continue to complete the Ascend online survey each morning truthfully so that we can monitor the health of our school community. Our main goal is to stay in school.

We have an update on the Chromebooks for grades 3-5. Should we need to go to online learning, these students will take home Chromebooks. The devices have arrived, and students are being trained on how to log into their Google Classroom accounts. Parents and students in these grades have received or will receive contracts for use of the devices. These must be returned to school before a Chromebook is assigned to your child.
Text Alert System Test on Wednesday
You should have received a text alert testing our messaging system last Wednesday. We are going to test the system again this Wednesday. This system is how we communicate school closures/delays due to weather or other situations.

Returning Families
If you are a returning family and have received messages in the past, including the one last Wednesday, and your mobile number has not changed, you don't need to do anything.

New Families
If you are a new family or your number has changed, you will have to opt into the system. Please text the letter Y to 67587 today to make sure you are signed up. The test message sent on Wednesday will not come to you if you are not opted in.

If you have any questions, please contact Assistant Head of School Renee' Kropff at [email protected].
A Message from the Parents' Association

Bright Scene
The Bright School elected Buddy, the German Shepherd puppy, to be the library mascot. Students voted in the library by putting puff balls in boxes. Fifth graders helped check in voters and count the ballots. Pictured here: Fifth grader Londyn Busby gives an "I Voted" sticker to kindergarten student Britton Peggram.
