End of School
Wednesday, May 26
We made it! This is the last day of school. It is a free dress day for all students except fifth graders will wear their uniforms for Recognition Day in the morning and then change into free dress for the rest of the day. Wednesday is a full, regular day of school.

Thanks so much to the families who made today a free dress day for the whole school! This was made possible by their generous donations during the silent auction at the Sunday Fun Day event at Topgolf.
Help for Ms. Vicki
Several weeks ago a member of our Bright School family, Ms. Vicki, lost everything (including her dog) in a house fire. All Bright School students know Ms. Vicki because she serves lunch every day in the dining hall. Behind-the-scenes efforts by parents have helped Ms. Vicki collect some emergency relief funding and clear the property of the damaged home. Now we want to help Ms. Vicki have a permanent home. However, finding an affordable replacement has been extremely difficult. To help Ms. Vicki get back on her feet, she could use help in the following areas:
  • Sourcing a new or used mobile home
  • Providing budget-relieving services to help with home set-up (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, delivery of new home)
  • Money to help acquire a replacement home
  • Any expertise with interior finishes if an unfinished exterior shell is acquired
If you are inclined to help, please contact Courtney Valentine at [email protected]
Read, Read, Read in the Summer
Summer is a great time to read, and we've got book information for you. Check out the information from your child's teacher about reading packets for rising grades K-5. For more information, visit our summer reading page.
Be a School Sponsor
Support Bright School as a school sponsor. We are seeking businesses and companies to be school sponsors for 2021-22. If you are interested in seeing your name listed on the website and on the sign by the concourse and ECC, please contact Kim Brown [email protected] to learn more.
Letters to Mr. Morgan
Our students and teachers have been celebrating Mr. Morgan in this Spring of Gratitude. Parents are now invited to send letters to Mr. Morgan that will be collected and presented to him at the end of the month. If you would like to send a note, you may send it to school with your child to be given to Elizabeth Davis or you may send an email to [email protected]. If your note is short, you may send it through our website. Click here to write a note.
Save the Date: Bluegrass and BBQ
Plan to join the Parents' Association for Bluegrass and BBQ on Friday, August 20.

There will be food and a live band. This is an adults only event. More details coming this summer.
Purchase Plants to Benefit the Eco-Literacy Program
There are vegetable plants and flowers from the Bright Blooms sale still available for purchase. All proceeds go to the eco-literacy program overseen by Lynn Shelton.

If you would like to order plants, please use this form. Follow the instructions for ordering, payment and pick up. All vegetable plants are $5 each, and flowers are $3 or $5 each. (Lynn has Venmo, or you can pay cash or with a check.)
