Dear Friend of The Crossing,

Here in Big Sky, where we are currently deep into our annual Montana residency, our minds are stretched to accompany the landscape; our voices flung across ridges to echo down canyons.

It's a place that encourages big dreaming, and we're excited today to announce our updated website, accompanying a season filled with expansive ideas.
Throughout you'll find the fantastic creatures of Christopher St. John, our visual guides as we tackle relevant topics in the 2019- 2020 season, all loosely related to our relationship with the natural world, though observation, effect,  extinction. After Aniara in Helsinki, we move on to  Gavin Bryars' magnum opus on Wendell Berry's texts, explore extinct birds with Edie Hill's settings of  Holly Hughes' poems, revisit a contemporary classic by David Lang, look at life through the music of Philip Glass, take on another biographical work  of Michael Gordon, and then enter into a Month of Moderns filled with new works by Daniel Felsenfeld, Nicholas Cline, Morton Feldman, Aaron Helgeson, Tawnie Olson, and Toivo Tulev.

Event links are now live for our performances at Annenberg Center, The Icebox @ Crane Arts, Carnegie Hall, The Met Cloisters, Finnish National Opera, and our home at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill.

Journey, far, within.

Come. Hear. Now.
New music only happens through your support.
