CORE for LYFE, Week 5 (Extravagant Generosity)
This week, Rev. Judith Banya, pastor of Baiwalla United Methodist Church in Sierra Leone, visits Sacred Journey to share her faith journey. A survivor of civil war, a woman of faith, and a beneficiary of extravagant generosity through Methodist mission schools, Judith has made it her life’s work to see that others have the opportunity to become the people they were created to be. Her dream of a thriving school that offers a safe place to receive academic instruction and spiritual formation is coming true, in part because of our commitment to live and give like Jesus. As we celebrate her presence with us in worship, we will also share in World Communion Sunday, and renew our joy in being part of God’s family.
Question for reflection: Who shaped your perspective on generosity and faith? How do generosity and gratitude connect in your life?
