WORK FROM HOME EDITION | MARCH 26, 2020
Dear 555 community,

We are living in complicated times but we will get through this together. Even though many of us are working from home, that doesn’t change the fact that all of us at 555 Madison are a community.

We are dedicating this edition of our newsletter to working from home but hoping that will be short-lived and that we’ll all be back together healthy and safe at 555 Madison soon.

Please know that while you’re out, we’re staying put and want to help ensure that the flow of your business is as smooth as possible. If you need us just email Aleisa or John . We’re here to help!

We encourage you to share this newsletter and all issues with your entire staff. Right now, we are facing a serious public health situation, all the news we read is dire, so in this edition we hope to share a few helpful resources to get us through this.

Tips From a Work-From-Home-Pro

Working at home sounds like a dream, right? It can be tougher than you think! Some people feel they cannot switch into “work” mode and find themselves doing anything but work. We asked a pro – someone who has worked from home for more than a decade – to offer up some tips to help you adjust.

Tip 1: Maintain the same work hours you would as if you were at the office. Setting the boundaries of work hours and non-work hours will keep you on task.

Tip 2: Get dressed, drink coffee, walk your dog, and get your kids settled before you check email and dive in. If you don’t, you may find that’s it 3pm and you’re still in pajamas.

Tip 3: Don’t go totally digital. Yes, emails are great but people need people. Pick up the phone and have a conversation with a colleague. The exchange will foster collaboration and provide you with a dose of social interaction.

Tip 4: Use that commute time for something productive. You’ve just gained time back at the top and the tail of your workday for the time being. Use it to kick start some new good habits. Get some exercise, read a book, take up meditation, or listen to a podcast. Make that commute time your time right now.

NEWS TIPS: We are eager to hear and share your news. Please send story tips and news items about your company and employees for consideration for this newsletter to: newsletter@rodneycorporation.com . Thank you!
