Over 300 job seekers attended the “$19 per Hour And Beyond” Job Fair. We thank our many media partners for sharing the news including WLOS TV, Asheville Radio Group, Hendersonville Lightning, Transylvania Times, AVL Today, WWNC 570AM and more. We also thank the many volunteers who supported this job fair.
Employer A: "I wanted to thank you so much for the opportunity to attend yesterday’s event. We spoke to more folks yesterday than we have if we combined all the job fairs over the past two years. I have been keeping an ear open today and we have already had several folks from yesterday reach out to us, starting the application process, etc."
Employer B: “I just wanted to share with you that this has been the best event that we have been to! Well organized and I truly appreciate what you and the team do for the community!”
Employer C: “Thank you for putting together another wonderful career fair!”
Employer D: “[Our company] was privileged to attend the $19 an Hour and Beyond Job Fair again this year. We connected with candidates all throughout the day and left the job fair with a lot of great resumes. Our company attends many job fairs throughout the year and we feel that the job fairs that are put on by the Land of the Sky Regional Council and the Mountain Workforce Development Board are among the best that we attend. After attending another successful job fair on June 29th, we will always make it a priority to attend any future job fairs put on by the Land of the Sky Regional Council and the Mountain Workforce Development Board."
