9 top wellbeing tips for the Self Employed

  1. Connect Connect Connect - make sure you attend Networking events. Having ultimate responsibility and knowing the buck stops with you can be a lonely place. Talk to someone rather than send an email.
  2. Take a Project Management Approach to Wellbeing - Take a few moments to write down some elements for maintaining your wellbeing
  3. Take control you're working hours, spend time offline, and have those boundaries between work and home. Technology can blur the boundaries between work and home and make you feel as though you need to be ‘always on’.
  4. Build some exercise into your day even if to begin with its some stretching
  5. Take a break - even if its only for a few minutes
  6. Focus on your breathing - learning to breathe more deeply, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Breathe in for 4 then out for 4
  7. Try and stay present - So many of us worry about the future and the past, the past we can’t control and the future hasn’t happened yet.
  8. Challenge yourself to think about what you can out - source, delegate or say ‘no’ to some tasks may not need your expertise and could easily be done by others, while other tasks may not be a priority or of significant benefit and saying ‘no’ could be the best approach
  9. Stand up or doing some stretching or physical activity every 30 minutes greatly increases blood circulation and will aid productivity

Transport for London (TfL), London Councils and London’s boroughs are working together on plans for a trial of rental e-scooters in the capital, with the aim of promoting safety standards and developing a better understanding of the impact of this emerging mode of transport on London’s roads.

The competition is open to all e-scooter operators. Up to three will be selected to take part in the 12 month trial, which is due to start in spring 2021.
