Hello Interested Individuals,
[Cook County Clerk's Office] would welcome your help as a Field Technician for the April 6, 2021 suburban Cook County general election. The same maximum daily compensation amount, $500, still applies for successful completion of Field Technician duties for the April 6, 2021 election. 

We are requiring that people complete training on one of the available dates as a condition (training is not compensated). We ask people to communicate interest, name, email address and current cell phone or other voicemail-enabled phone with the preferred suburban Cook County election site/township, ability to meet the requirements and 1st and 2nd training date/time choice to

 ElectionsWork@cookcountyil.gov, expeditiously.

Ten (10) Field Technicians per site/RDC is the ideal configuration.  Requested Response Deadline: 8pm on March 18, 2021.

Field Technician Job Description: 
  •  As an Election Day Tech, one works with the site managers from the Remote Distribution Centers (RDC). 
  • Drive around and covering 8-13 precincts to troubleshoot, resolve, observe, and alerting the site managers to problems observed on your route using portal on tablet or placing calls 
  • Provide phone support when feasible, ie troubleshooting via phone call
  • Utilizing the tablet to manage calls/tickets 
 
Requirements: 
  • Reliable and insured vehicle: no carpooling/rideshare utilization, etc.
  • Valid IL Driver's License 
  • Ability to carry 50lbs 
  • The ability to navigate a designated area of the Cook County suburbs using Google maps 
  • Use a smart phone and tablet 
  • Ability and willingness to learn and work current election equipment 
  • Ability and willingness to work 5:00am-10:00p OR until released by Site Manager

  • 3/31– Old Orchard Country Club 700 West Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 1pm or 6pm
  • 4/1- Oakton Community College 4701 Oakton St., Skokie, IL 60077 1pm or 6pm
  • 4/3- Cicero Community Center 2250 S. 49th Ave., Cicero, IL 60804  9:30am or 2:30pm
