1) My Tasks navigational panel showing:
-
All Items - see all pending tasks resolved in the last 90 days.
-
Filters - the ability to filter tasks using specific criteria. For example: As the manager of a team, you can create a condition where you filter out expense item approvals greater than 50 USD from your My Tasks view.
-
Archive - view completed tasks.
-
Bulk Approve (when applicable) - approve items in bulk. Workday recommends using a filter first to view tasks that you can approve in bulk. To determine if a business process supports bulk approval, use the Business Process Configuration Options report.
-
Manage Delegations (when applicable) - access the My Delegations report to view and manage task delegations.
Note: The My Task navigational panel is collapsible to allow you more screen real estate to complete tasks that need your full focus.
2) Search - enables you to search for tasks across all items, in the archive, or within filters, using search types such as:
-
Title Search - search task titles using the search field; case-sensitive terms or exact word order is not necessary. Title Search can also be used as a delegate on business processes.
-
Advanced Search - use additional task and date range parameters to refine your search further. Advanced Search can also be used as a delegate on business processes.
-
Saved Searches - used to categorize tasks automatically based on the search parameters. When you create and save a search, you can access it from the Saved Searches tab. You can create and use saved searches only in All Items. You can't share saved searches.
3) Sorting - displays three options to sort by Newest, Oldest, and Due Soonest. You can also choose to show information in a Simple or Detailed format to help you determine which listed task needs your immediate attention.
4) Favorites - mark tasks as Favorites for quick reference while working through a task. Once completed, tasks are displayed in the Archive view that goes back for 90 days.
