Building FGCU's Future Together Welcome to the Workday newsletter, a biweekly publication designed to keep you informed about our Workday project at FGCU and introduce you to exciting features! We are building a new future for FGCU by transforming to Workday, an industry-leading cloud software for Human Resources, Financial and Student business processes.The transition to Workday will occur in several phases over the next few years and impact every single person at FGCU. The first phase includes Financial, HR and Payroll, with Student following sometime later. Q: How might the transition to Workday impact the security of personal data? This is a crucial issue that is constantly in the news.  A: While no online system is impenetrable, Workday employs the latest cybersecurity techniques and programs, which will protect our personal information in the system. Additionally, we will be using Single-Sign-On (SSO) and 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) to access Workday, adding an additional layer of security (or 2) on our end.

Name : Nicole Black Role at FGCU: IT Project Manager II Role on Project Team: Project Manager   As the Workday Project Manager, Nicole has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control and closure of our Workday project. Nicole works hand in hand with the Project Manager from Sierra-Cedar, FGCU's implementation partner, on all aspects of the project including scheduling resources, building a comprehensive work plan, and managing the budget. Most exciting thing about Workday :  "There are really too many good things about Workday to list them all! Streamlined processes, less paper, user-friendly, able to see where things sit in workflows, no more 3-part leave slips, to name a few! I'm very lucky to be working with such a wonderful group of people on this project; they are so hard-working and dedicated to the success of Workday. '(Hard) hats off' to the tremendous efforts being made by my fellow team members!"
