Happy 92nd Birthday DRMA! For 92 years, DRMA has been the member-driven advocate for the manufacturing industry in the greater Dayton Region. Thanks to all of our members, volunteers, and partner organizations who support our mission and volunteer their time and talents to help strengthen manufacturing in our region.

It’s DRMA Night with the Dayton Dragons as the hometown team takes on the West Michigan Whitecaps. For every ticket that DRMA sells via this link, a contribution will be made to the DRMA Foundation to advance our career outreach activities. You can also purchase tickets by using this order form. Upskilling opportunity! Edison State Community College is offering a CNC Mill Programming workshop. This in-person workshop, designed to help CNC employees understand the language and processes used in CNC mill programming, will take place 5/5 – 5/7, totaling 24 hours, at Edison State’s Piqua Campus. Ohio State’s Center for Design & Manufacturing Excellence is offering a free cybersecurity training course that offers practical, immediate steps to reduce cyber risk and strengthen digital resilience. This free online, self-paced course is available to all small businesses (fewer than 500 employees) and is funded in partnership with U.S. SBA. It introduces key cybersecurity concepts, requires no technical background, and can be completed in 2–3 hours. The course covers core elements of a business’ cybersecurity plan, including phishing, cyber inventory, and network security, and includes supplemental support materials. SkillsTrac Facilitator (Manufacturing Solutions) instructor needed at Sinclair’s Courseview Campus, Mason. It is critical that manufacturers support manufacturing training programs; without qualified instructors, schools will not be able to produce employees for you! Encourage recently retired manufacturer colleagues looking to teach the next generation of talent to apply here.


Manufacturer members are invited to attend an industry roundtable being held on 5/4 from 1 - 3:30 p.m. at UDRI’s Digital Transformation Center (DTC) to discuss workforce challenges specific to composites manufacturing and learn about available training resources. Industry participation will help guide the development of future composites workforce training programs to help expand your talent pipeline.
