2025 Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Economic Impact Report

Top 10 Occupations Posted in Aerospace Sector, March 2025

The table below shows the number of postings by companies in the Aerospace sector, which is one of Colorado's premier economic drivers. This industry is so important in greater metro Denver, that its leaders have formed an Aerospace Sector Partnership which is cooperatively addressing skill shortages in key areas in partnership with Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, local K-12 and postsecondary educators and economic developers. This vital infrastructure cooperates to optimize the competitiveness of Aerospace companies throughout the region by ensuring a steady supply of key talent.

The salaries listed in this table are from actual job postings by Aerospace companies in metro Denver during March of this year, and so quite accurately depict the current labor costs for this key talent.

Note: 'Computer Occupations, All Other' includes a total of 9 occupations.

At the time of this release, the most recent job posting data available is for March 2025.

Supply/Demand of Rapidly Growing Skills in the Aerospace Sector in greater Denver Metro area during March 2025

This figure shows the top ten specialized skills that have been posted by companies in the Aerospace Sector in greater metro Denver during March 2025. These skills are the most rapidly growing as compared to forecasted two-year change in national demand for the the specific skills as opposed to projected demand for all skills.

The percent of profiles are taken from Lightcast's inventory of online resumes in the region that list the specific skill on the table. For example, referencing the graphic image here, we see that Business Strategies has been listed as a desired skill in 17% of the job postings made by Aerospace employers in metro Denver during March 2025, but only 2.1% of the existing database of online resumes aggregated by Lightcast list that skill.

This is a potential supply/demand imbalance that can be rectified by the workforce development system working through the regional Aerospace Sector Partnership with local K-12 Career and Technical Skills (CTE) programs, such as the aerospace program at Littleton's EPIC Campus which specializes in advanced additive manufacturing skills, as well as programs offered by community colleges, technical schools and other postsecondary educators to ensure curriculum content remains relevant to the evolving needs of regional Aerospace companies.

This type of analysis can readily be done in support of any industry, group of industries or even for specific occupations across all industries or within a specific industry.
