Alaska Fire Service

Looking for a job in Fairbanks next summer for the 2026 Alaska Fire Season? Interested in a job in public safety and wildland fire, but don't want to be on the front lines? BLM AFS has the job for you. We are looking for fire dispatchers for the Yukon Fire Dispatch Center and the Alaska Interagency Coordination Center, both in Fairbanks, Alaska on Fort Wainwright.

Salary: 4/5 $47,944 to $68,155, 6/7 $57,098 to $80,541 per yr

Appointment type: permanent, career seasonal. (You will be in pay status for at least 6 months; but less than 12 months in a calendar year.)

Housing and a dining facility are available to help offset the costs of living expenses.

Career seasonal employees accrue sick and annual leave. They are also eligible for health and life insurance, even while in non-pay status during the winter off-season, and retirement benefits.
