Volunteer Spotlight

For over two and a half years, Karen has been a dedicated volunteer at our organization, bringing her compassion and experience to Pathways. A retired registered nurse, Karen was drawn to volunteering at Pathways as a way to stay connected to her community and continue making a difference in people's lives.

"I just love it," Karen shares. "The staff is so dedicated to their clients and mission. The community really needs this organization, and it fills an important role. I'm excited to see the long-term impact that the changes we've made over recent years will have on the community."

Karen primarily works assisting in the food pantry, where she helps organize and distribute food to the families we serve. Through her weekly volunteer shifts, she has built meaningful relationships with those she serves, finding a sense of purpose similar to that of her nursing career. "Volunteering every Monday has allowed me to connect with so many people," Karen reflects.

Karen's commitment to our mission is a testament to the power of community service. Her dedication and kindness in helping support those in need offer them a sense of dignity and connection. We are incredibly grateful to have her on our volunteer team!
