Workplace Age Restrictions & Student Safety

With summer approaching, many members hire students for seasonal work. Employers must provide appropriate supervision, orientation, and training to ensure student workers stay safe on the job.

The minimum age of employment is 16 years old, with some exceptions for 14 and 15 year olds. For full details, please refer to the Government of Saskatchewan’s guidelines.
