E-Digest for August 2021
Ups and downs are a normal part of life. We all feel a bit stressed out or struggle to cope with a problem from time to time. This edition of Wellness E-Digest highlights three Wellness Modules from Here to Help that address different factors related to mental health and well-being, and explore various evidence-based skills to help you work through common problems.
Getting a Good Night's Sleep
Exhausted? Tossing and turning? Not getting a good night's sleep? Although sleep problems are common, there are some easy ways to improve the quality of your sleep. Many people find that their physical and mental well-being also improves when their sleep improves. Go to the Getting a Good Night's Sleep module for tips to help you improve your sleep routine and have a restful night.
Staying Mentally Healthy with Technology
Do you feel anxious when you're not checking your phone or another device? Do you think it might be good to reduce your screen time? Technology can be very helpful - in fact, it is easy to feel like it is the only way. However, technology can have a real impact on well-being. It is important to find a good balance so you can enjoy all of the benefits while minimizing the harms. Go to the Staying Mentally Healthy with Technology module for tips on how you can establish a healthy relationship with technology while enjoying the benefits and minimizing harms.
Healthy Thinking
Troubled by upsetting thoughts? Dwelling on the negative? Finding it hard to see things positively? If you feel this way, you are not alone. We all find ourselves coping with troubling thoughts from time to time - especially when we are going through changes in our lives or when we feel depressed, anxious, sad, angry or stressed out. Go to the Healthy Thinking module to learn about common thinking traps and tips on how to stop thinking that way.
