December Workshop

Showing Up Right for Youth (SUR4Y) is a workshop on identity and power dynamics specifically designed for volunteers working with young people. This two hour session, led by Canopy Equity Coaching and hosted by Cambridge Volunteer Clearinghouse, will build awareness of our own personal and social identities, examine ways that privilege and marginalization show up, contextualize identity and power in mentoring relationships, and engage with real-life scenarios to build our toolkit for interrupting inequities.

This is an interactive workshop, not a webinar! There will be small and large group discussions. Please show up ready to participate. We value your time and your engagement with the topics, and want you to get the most out of our workshop.

New and returning volunteers who have not done it previously must attend a workshop on equity, inclusion, and belonging as it relates to the mentoring experience.
